A representation of musicians from the Jakubow and Stanislawow community…

Summary of the “COOLtura is COOL” project
After many months of work on the project “COOLtura is COOL. Improving access to culture and art for residents of Jakubow and Stanislawow Municipality”, co-financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the time has come to summarize its achievements. To this end, a conference was organized, to which the residents of the Jakubow and Stanislawow municipalities, our recipients of the activities proposed in the project, were invited. The event was hosted by Hanna Wocial, head of the Jakubow municipality. The ceremony was held with the participation of representatives of the project’s partners, including Kinga Sosinska – head of the Stanislawow municipality and Piotr Hryniszyn – president of the Board of Directors of GSD Europlus. During the conference, the artistic setting was provided by brass bands of the municipalities of Jakubow and Stanislawow, mashorettes from Jakubow and the band Staśkowiacy from Stanislawow.
The implementation of the project was from autumn 2022 to April 2024.Behind us unique and often innovative artistic events. And these were: workshop classes in playing instruments, dance classes, theater classes, sculpture workshops, handicrafts, concerts by Małgorzata Bańka to the music of prominent poets, concerts by our community brass bands from Jakubow and Stanislawow, theatrical performances, exhibitions, festivals including a culinary picnic with Katarzyna Bosacka, a cultural festival in Wisniew with the participation of the Tatar minority, an open-air cinema, author meetings with Albena Grabowska and Maria Paszynska, and the publication of publications about Jakubow or Stanislawow.
Similar events simultaneously took place in the Stanislawow municipality. Throughout its duration, our project was based on partnerships with the Stanislawow municipality, the Tatar community from Kruszyniany, the Europlus Training and Consulting Group from Warsaw, and the Icelandic partner from Egilsstadir, where Polish culture was promoted.
All the events financed by this project allowed us to enrich our cultural offer, develop the interests and passions of the residents of our municipalities, exchange culture, integrate and discover new and interesting opportunities for personal development. A broad view of elements of many cultures has raised the knowledge of the residents of our municipalities in the field of cultural heritage, bridging the deficit of the due place of culture in social life. We are pleased with the increase in interest in active participation in cultural events.
