Revenge in Jakubow

The opportunity to attend Revenge on a charming September afternoon brought the residents of Jakubow an unusual pleasure of interacting with a play perfectly exposing the vices of our former society, sometimes so relevant even today. The brilliantly paced performance by the Parabuch Theater Group satisfied the audience’s appetite for the arch-comedy of the great master Alexander Fredro. The unusually rendered comedy of the exaggerated characters, the main issue of the dispute and the manner of expression made for a wonderful show, interspersed with amusing love adventures. The revival of Fredro’s characters in the OSP hall in Jakubow allowed the audience, gathered in large numbers, to move into the world of intrigue, love games and peculiar relationships of the nobility of the time. After an evening spent in such a way, one remembers long and blissfully cheering up to tears.
