Municipality of Jakubów

The Municipality of Jakubów is located in the central part of the Kałuszyn Upland, which lies on the South Podlasie Plain. It lies north of the Warsaw-Siedlce transport route, 45 km from Siedlce, 60 km from Warsaw and 10 km from Minsk Mazowiecki.

Administratively, the Jakubów Municipality belongs to the Mińsk County of Province of Mazovia. It neighbours the municipalities of: Stanisławów, Dobre, Kaluszyn, Cegłów and Minsk Mazowiecki. The municipality is made up of 26 villages with a total area of 87 km2 and a population of 5,052 (as of 31 December 2021).

The Jakubów Municipality carries out a number of infrastructural projects (e.g. construction of roads and road-related infrastructure, water and sewage management, development of public facilities), cultural (e.g. music concerts, theatre performances) and sporting (e.g. bicycle rallies, public runs, village tournaments) acquiring external funding from EU, government and local government funds.

Municipality of Stanisławów

The Municipality of Stanislawów is situated on the Mazovian Lowlands, on the border of the Wolomin Plain with the Kałuszyn Upland. The picturesque Rzadza and Czarna rivers, which belong to the Narew drainage basin, flow from the south-east to the north-west.

The Stanisławów commune is a rural municipality situated in the Mińsk district. The area of the commune occupies 10 637 ha, which accounts for 9.1% of the county’s area, 0.3% of the province’s area. Due to the nature of the land use, the largest area is agricultural land, i.e. 62.1% of the total area, while forested, wooded and shrubby land constitutes 32.0% of the commune’s area. Built-up and urbanized land constitutes 4.0% of the area.

The Stanisławów Commune borders with the communes of: Dębe Wielkie, Dobre, Jakubów, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Poświętne, Strachówka, Zielonka. The commune consists of 29 localities. Population density in Stanisławów Commune is 63.1 persons per km2. The population of Stanislawów Municipality as of 31 December 2021 was 6712.

In the municipality there are three primary schools in Pustelnik, Stanislawów and Ladysmith and two parishes in Stanislawów and Pustelnik.

GSD Europlus

Training and Consulting Group Europlus Sp. z o. o. is a consulting and training company, which since 2013. (founded in XII.2012) acquires and implements, in cooperation with local government units from all over Poland (Municipalities, Starosties), nonprofit (non-commercial) projects addressed to the local community (children, students, parents, teachers, officials), which include, among others, educational (including educational), sports and cultural activities.

As part of its projects, the Company carries out cultural activities, among others:

  • Organizes cultural events (Family Picnics),
  • Organizes extracurricular activities for children and young people in the area of artistic education (dance, theater),
  • Organizes trips for children and young people to cultural institutions (including organizing trips to theater performances – Roma Theater, Syrena Theater),
  • Also carries out activities in the area of project promotion (development and implementation of promotional campaigns, website management, etc.).

Menningarmidstod Fljotsdalsherads (MMF/Slaturhus)

MMF, Menningarmiðstöð Fljótsdalshéraðs (East Iceland Cultural Centre) is located in Egilsstadir, East Iceland. It was founded in 2006 and is one of 3 cultural centres in East Iceland.

MMF has an emphasis on performing arts but offers all kinds of artistic experiences, visual arts, lectures, workshops, performances, exhibitions.

The cultural centre is divided into two units:

  • Slaturhusid – offers artists performance and exhibition space,
  • MMF – produces exhibitions and performances, and has an educational purpose in cooperation with the surrounding schools.

MMF is a self-governing institution. It has many years of experience in organising educational, cultural events, e.g. the VOR/WIOSNA festival – a festival of Polish culture and art.
