Meeting with Norwegian literature for children in Jakubow

On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a meeting with Norwegian literature for children took place at Jakubow Elementary School, with Edyta Jungowska as a guest speaker.

During the meeting, well-known and well-liked actress Edyta Jungowska took children from the elementary school in Jakubow to the world of Scandinavian books including Norwegian books. She told interesting facts about the authors and characters. She read excerpts from literature in an extremely engaging way, involving the listeners and engaging them in co-creating the stories she read. She evoked well-known characters such as Pippi, the children of Bullerbyn and brand new characters from lesser-known works of Norwegian literature. Thanks to the meeting, adults were able to return to the world of childhood, while the participating children were able to get to know Scandinavian characters and discover the culture of northern Europe through their adventures. In addition, participants gained a handful of information about the work of publishing, the process of creating books and audiobooks and the literary path that a written work goes through.
