Concert of brass bands from Stanislawów and Jakubów Municipalities
On 22.01.2023, at 12.00, in the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist and St. Stanislaw BM in Stanislawow a joint concert of the brass band of the Stanislawow Municipality and the brass band of the Jakubow Municipality took place.
The event was one of the activities in the project entitled „COOLture is COOL. Improving access to culture and art in the Municipality of Jakubów and the Municipality of Stanisławów”, co-financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
During the performance, both bands presented traditional and local carols and pastorals. They also performed popular Christmas hits Last Christmas from the repertoire of the group Wham! or All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. The brass bands are made up of residents of the Stanisławów and Jakubów Municipalities, who also take part in music workshops organised as part of the project.
After the Concert, all participants were invited to the Stanislawów voluntary fire brigade headquarters for a delicious treat, prepared by the “Dworzanie” Circle of Rural Housewives.
